There are also simply made banana pancakes served with banana, along with old-fashioned banana and chocolate-banana parfaits—plenty to draw in anyone with a taste for sweets.

The menu is just as appealing when you want a substantial meal. Curries come in several styles, from masala curry with its fresh spice notes to Tahitian- and Java-style curries made with coconut milk powder and fruit paste. There is also a Kashmiri-style curry inspired by rogan josh. Other unfussy café favourites include classic Napolitan spaghetti, hot sandwiches with a choice of fillings and generously sized jumbo toast. These dishes can also be ordered as sets with a mini salad and a drink.
